A set of 10 delicate Hepplewhite period armchairs with shield-shaped backs with triple splats carved with a coronet of stiff leaves from which emerge wheat ears and openwork twisted ribbons.

These delicate Hepplewhite period armchairs have shield-shaped backs with triple splats carved with a coronet of stiff leaves from which emerge wheat ears and openwork twisted ribbons. They have elaborately arched arms and richly fluted and gilded front legs. The overall decoration is rendered in white, highlighted and embellished with gilt to the edges and foliate elements.
