Lighting

At Wick Antiques we buy and sell many different appliances for lighting your rooms. The most magnificent form of lighting is the chandelier. We have examples from pairs of cut glass Victorian Chandeliers by Osler to blue glass Bohemian ones, these are often accompanied by matching wall lights. For large halls or grand entrances there are full size candelabra or cavaliers holding torches to complement ceiling lanterns. Drawing rooms, studies, bedrooms and libraries are usually equipped with table top lamps. Many 19th century lamps were especially cast in bronze, ormolu, and silver plate or fashioned from marble or semi-precious stones. At the same time large numbers of lamps were adapted from Oriental porcelain vases or candelabra from previous eras.
